Port Shazarda is the Northern Compact's largest city, as well as their largest port. The city, itself, has a population of about 80,000 people.
Port Shazarda is mostly known for its prominence on the northern trade network, being one of the only cities capable of producing ships, often called ice-skimmers, of traversing the perilous Zero's Ocean to the north. Along with this, Port Shazarda also occasionally supplies Zero's Rest with ships capable of dealing with the treacherous waters, in hopes of hunting a giant, ocean-dwelling prize.
Port Shazarda's usefulness is exaggerated by the existence of the Mt. Angite Township. Being the only port able to traverse the waters, and Angite's preeminent mining industry, these two allow the Northern Compact to hold one of the top positions as one of the most important empires in the Realm.
